Â
It’s safe to say that summer is on the horizon- the weather is heating up, people are beginning to travel and we are finally able to safely gather with our family and friends at events and parties! With all of this comes eating and drinking (and lots of it.)
We were super grateful to be featured in the LCBO’s recent Food & Drink Early Summer magazine alongside many other great new products and trends.Â
We’re going to share a few that caught our eye!
Edible Flowers- These are only available for a short time every year so it’s important to pick them at the height of their freshness! Strawberry, Raspberry & Rose Iced Tea Ice Pops is one recipe that we can’t stop thinking about. Filled with tea, rosewater, honey and rose petals, these delicate and delicious looking popsicles are definitely a refreshing treat on a hot summer day. Get the recipe here.

Hot Honey- Â The trendiest new condiment can be added to just about anything- wings, waffles, grilled pineapple or a pizza slice. Featured was Toronto based company Zing, who makes Buzz Hot Honey: a medium hot honey with a dose of vinegar, lemongrass and makrut lime leaves. Check them out here.
Low Alcohol or No Alcohol- Well, it’s no surprise! Low alc and no alc are taking on the world by storm. One recipe we can’t wait to try this summer is filled with Sobrii 0.5% tequila- the Molita Cocktail. A sophisticated sipper that is filled with Italian bitter tonic and NA tequila, plus fresh citrus. Yum. Get the recipe here.
Libra & PEI mussels- Â Because what screams summer better than cold craft beer and fresh local seafood? The light, tropical flavours of our pale ale pair perfectly with briny, rich PEI mussels. Check out our recipe with the Social Shell here.
