The sun is starting to shine again, the birds are beginning to chirp and it’s the perfect time to start fresh and shake off any lingering winter cabin fever. With the first day of Spring just passing, here’s a few ideas to get you into the spirit and start spring cleaning your life.
1. Declutter your home.
Whether it be organizing your closet, getting rid of old clothes you haven’t touched in months or tackling the junk drawer, decluttering your physical space is the perfect task to start with. A fresh, clean environment will do wonders for your mindset.
2. Refresh your meals.
If you’ve been slacking off a bit with your eating habits during the colder months, now is a perfect time to try something new in the kitchen. Try simplifying your diet, testing out healthy recipes you find online, doing meal prep for the week or choosing healthier alternatives- like non-alcoholic beverages instead of that heavy craft beer.
3. Clear your head.
Focus on you this season and make your mental health a top priority. Letting go of toxic relationships, practicing meditation and daily journaling are all things you can do to get in touch with you and what YOU need. Self care all 2022 long!
4. Unplug.
We all could use a break from the Internet. Instead of getting lost in the scroll, try out some new hobbies or maybe even old ones you haven’t made time for in a while. Turning off the phone before bed and cracking a fresh book is the perfect way to start unplugging.
5. Get the blood pumping.
Warmer weather and sunshine are both great motivators to get outside and move your body. Something as simple as going for a walk, doing yard work or going for a bike ride are all ways to soak up some vitamin D and spend some much needed time in nature. We missed you, serotonin.
